The Colintraive is hidden away on Argyll's Secret Coast within the quiet village of Colintraive. Located within a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of The Loch Lomond National Park, we are less than 2 hours from Glasgow. You won't find a better stopping point on the road to Arran, Islay, Jura, Gigha and Kintyre.
The Colintraive has four lovely bedrooms, contemporary ensuites, super comfy beds and stunning sea views across to the Island of Bute. Sailors are welcome to use our sailors' facilities and our five moorings located close to the hotel. We have capacity up to 15 tonnes on first come first serve for patrons.
Our cosy Pub with sea views and a wood burning stove, serves fantastic local seafood, the best beef from the Island of Bute and Winston Churchill's game. We have locally produced gins, whiskies and real ales from across the isles to keep you refreshed in our sunny beer garden. Fine wines are available to accompany your meal in the elegant restaurant and brilliant locally roasted Argyll coffee to enjoy by our fire on those rare rainy west coast days. Even better with a wee dram in it! The Restaurant, also with sea views, is perfect for special occasions and small weddings.
Pets are very welcome in the bar - we love all the dogs the visit and will always give them a drink and have a treat available. Colintraive is a delightful coastal village where eagles, red squirrels, seals, deer and basking sharks are regular sights. It is great for country and coastal walks along the Cowal Way. Many Munros are within a short drive. There are thrilling cycle routes, kayaking with seals and the best sailing routes through the Kyles of Bute.

"A lovely little hotel, perfect for old friends to escape for a night away. We stayed one night and the view from our room, over looking the Isle of Bute, was stunning. We also had wonderful evening meal in the bar, the steak and haddock the best we’ve ever eaten and the wine was delicious too. The new owners had not long taken over the hotel and they could not have been more welcoming or helpful, we wish them every success with their new venture. Highly recommended."
